VISAKHAPATNAM SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE
Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone is located 24 kms. from Visakhapatnam city, the booming industrial city on east coast of India. Apart from VSEZ, the Development Commissioner, VSEZ is also the nodal Officer for licensing and monitoring the performance of units set up under EOU scheme in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Union Territory of Yanam.
Single window clearances / Approvals
Single window clearances for the pre and post establishment formalities are offered by the administrative set up of the Zone headed by the Development commissioner. The Zone administration also extends helping hand in getting clearances / approvals from other agencies/ departments of State and Centre, wherever required.
Facilities for Software Development Firms and Other IT enabled Services
Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ) provides high-speed datacom and Internet facilities to the software exporters from the zone. A state of the art Satellite Earth Station is located within the zone complex. Bandwidth and other related services are provided by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) which is the leading ISP in the country. Network Management Center (NMC) provides round the clock technical support.
Software and other related firms can be setup in VSEZ or anywhere in the state of Andhra Pradesh and get registered as EOU from VSEZ. In either case, the Letter Of Permission (LOP) is issued by the Development Commissioner, VSEZ.
The Government of India and the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh offer a liberal package of incentives to the software industry.
