Surat Special Economic Zone is a multi product Zone. All types of non polluting industries are welcome to set up units in the Zone. A Manufacturing, Trading and Service unit can be set up in the Zone. At present more than 120 units are operating and exporting to various countries all across the globe.

Major categories of units in operation are from Textiles, Garments, Made ups (pillows, quilts, bedsheets, etc), IT Hardware, Engineering Goods, Pharmaceuticals, Chemials, Gems & Jewellery, Diamond, Tobacco, etc.

Various industries are flourishing because of the locational advantages, cost effective peaceful industrial friendly labour available in abundance for all industrial sectors and excellent infrastructure provided in the Zone.

  • SERVICE CHARGES
  • A) For Open Plots
  • 1) Uptil the date of Commencement of Construction.
  • Rs.2.00 per sqr.mtr of open plot area per month subject to a minimum of Rs 2000/- per month.
  • 2) From the date of Commencement of Construction or on the expiry of 6 months from the date of Letter of Approval, whichever is earlier.
  • Rs 7.50 per sqr.mtr of open plot area per month.
  • Rs 5.00 per sqr.mtr of open plot area per month for the additional plot area beyond 4000 sqr.mtr.
  • No additional service charges for area of open plot beyond 8000 sqr.mtr.
  • B) For Ready Constructed Buildings / Units
  • 1) For buildings constructed as Diamond Cutting & Polishing Units
  • Rs 7500 per month per ready building of 1000 sqr.ft nominal area .
  • 2) For other buildings / premises
  • Rs 7.50 per sqr.ft per month of built up area of such buildings / premises.
  • Notes:
    • In all cases above, Service Charges will be payable from the date of Letter of Approval issued by Development Commissioner.
    • The Service Charges will be payable till the actual date of cancellation of allotment / surrender of the premises.
    • Rates are subject to revision as per Company Policy.
    • All delayed payments will attract interest @ 12% p.a.
